The relationship with the mountain is a complicated one. It brings us face to face with our bodies, our breath, but also with the passage of time and our substance. We are all creatures of the world, like them, we fall and rise beyond limits, with good companions. A passion that is also a way of seeing life, climbing. Amedeo Cavalleri from the Brocchi sui Blocchi collective has written a fun and reflective book for both those new to climbing and those who have made this sport a part of their identity—and a piece of their heart.

Amedeo Cavalleri was born in Gavardo (BS) in 1992. He worked for many years as a chef on Lake Garda while studying Political Science at the University of Milan. He began climbing late, at the age of twenty-three, and in 2016, he launched the Instagram page Brocchi Sui Blocchi to humorously document the climbing adventures of his group of friends.

Brocchi sui Blocchi is the largest climbing community in Italy, founded on the principles of inclusivity and sharing, focusing on the experience rather than performance. Amedeo and Brocchi Sui Blocchi have also created two successful podcasts, Recensioni brocche and Preferisco ghisarmi.
