The troubled history of the Palestinian people began long before October 7. However, the media distortions we have witnessed over the past year lead to misinformation about military conduct occurring under the world's watch. In the face of the shortcomings of international law, we attempt to address two of the most natural questions: What are the responsibilities of the media and the institutions managing international order in this conflict?

Randa Ghazy is an Italian writer and journalist. Her first novel, Sognando Palestina (Fabbri), was published in 2002 and achieved significant success, being translated into 16 languages. She currently lives in London and works as a Regional Media Manager at Save The Children.
