ACID ARAB
Sunday 31 May
Blending patterns from culturally distant musical traditions, weaving together sonic histories from different continents without appropriating them, but instead creating an ongoing dialogue driven by nocturnal dance and the deepest strains of acid house.
For nearly ten years now, Acid Arab — aka Guido Minisky and Hervé Carvalho — have been carrying out a precious work of gathering and exchange, collaborating with musicians from across the Mediterranean regions of Africa and Asia in an attempt to chart a map filled with routes to follow aboard a ship headed toward cosmopolitan dancefloors packed wall to wall with people.
On May 30th, the MART will become a bridge to Algiers, Istanbul, and Rabat. Acid Arab are covering the fare.
