Some people would have them compose the next soundtrack for a Super Mario game, others the official anthem of Australian surfers — we’re simply asking them to pick up their instruments and blast us straight into the sun with their gritty, psychedelic sound.

And we’re more than ready to catch the fever of Angine de Poitrine’s completely unpretentious math rock: a band from Quebec, covered head to toe in polka dots, dressed like Goofy if Mr. Oizo had designed him.

On May 31st, the MART will turn into a swimming pool of dots and acid-drenched distortion pedals.
