They started out as four Boston kids following closely in the footsteps of Nine Inch Nails. Today, Model/Actriz are four New Yorkers who still love industrial music, but are determined to make it sexier, sharper, more seductive.

Model/Actriz are proof that, in music, quality often comes from reinvention — of yourself, your sound, even your whole attitude. Their turn toward pop, from Dogsbody to Pirouette, reached a new balance and intensity with the release of the EP Swan Song this past March, where electronic impulses are finally unleashed inside waves of distorted noise.

At Utopia, it’s going to feel like total mayhem. All that’s left is to surrender to this merciless siren song.
