Anna And Vulkan

There isn't a name in this lineup that embodies the concept of "No Geography" quite like Anna And Vulkan: born in '96, Anna hails from Naples, moves to study at the University of Trieste, and eventually ends up in Vienna, where she still lives. A journey that would make the Habsburgs and the Bourbons envious, and you can already sense it from her name, with that "Vulkan" spelled the German way.

But while her everyday life is Central European, her music is 100% Mediterranean: her songs range from funk to Afrobeat, from R&B to the most elegant Neapolitan music (did someone mention Pino Daniele?), all concentrated—so far—in an EP of a few tracks and many visions. And with a title once again perfect for this Poplar: "Andare, tornare" ("Going, Coming Back"). Along a route that, on Friday, September 13, goes straight through Trento.
