Kid Yugi

“Massafghanistan” is one of those small towns in southern Italy where you’re born with conflict inside. A place that explodes with both beauty and decay, authenticity and squalor. Your name is Francesco, but at home they call you “Ciccio.” You were born in 2001 and you have three options: react, sink, or become Kid Yugi.

It’s more of a prophecy than a choice. Because when you have such talent, a story to tell, and the right attitude, there’s nothing you can do to stop yourself. You’re the chosen one. The truth is that Yugi is changing the scene, and not quietly, bridging the gap between the trap and old school worlds with his own unique narrative. Proof that true talent is recognizable no matter the background, style, or fashion. It’s pure talent, and it’s everything.

Just listen to him once: he splits your soul in two. And when he says, “What I say I live, you hear it from someone who hears it around,” he leaves you speechless. He can make you envy a life that no one would want to live. Like watching a film that shakes up all the certainties you had stacked up until then, leaving you with a chasm inside and asking yourself, “Do I have something to tell?”

We’re honored to have him at Poplar on September 12, in an evening that, among legends and milestones of the scene, is already a cult. Kid Yugi is already great, but he will become a giant. Come and see the future.
